Easter

Wearing the dress Grandma Pat made for ME when I was just her size!

It didn't take much for her to figure out the Easter basket!

Egg hunting indoors

My hearts!

A big "thank you" to Lorne & Morgan for hosting ALL of us on Easter!  Love having the seder meal tradition continue with our family each year.

Noah found the afikomen in such record time, I didn't get to capture the hunt! Fittingly, part of the big prize was CASH!

Baby-Moon Round Dos - Leavenworth, WA

When I was pregnant with Lucy, we had the amazing opportunity to go to Cabo San Lucas for just the cost of our airfare and food -- um, yes please!  This time around we didn't get as far away, nor was the locale as exotic, but the purpose was the same: to spend some much needed time away together as husband and wife.

We almost cancelled our trip when Lucy came down with a nasty stomach virus that lingered for days.  We are, once again, indebted to my big sister, Sarah, for taking Lucy and loving on her so well during her recovery so we could relax and enjoy our time together.  My mama heart almost failed me when we pulled out of the drive, but I knew (I KNEW) that she was in good hands, and that Sarah would call me if Lucy truly needed her mama.  She did great, surviving on kefir and milk for the three days, eventually working her way up to mac n' cheese on the day we returned -- woohoo!

Anyway, we had a great time wandering around Leavenworth, eating amazing food, talking, eating some more, walking some more, and just generally relaxing TOGETHER without having to be constantly "on" for our toddler.  :)

Being touristy
Probably his favorite shop!

We made a detour to Cashmere, WA.  They have a beautiful 9/11 memorial. So sobering, yet so inspiring and beautiful!
So proud to be Americans!

As it turns out, I STILL hate Applets and Cotlets... and Isaac discovered he hates them, too.  Hashtag meant for each other.

Lucy-isms at 2 (plus a couple months)

I really don't expect anyone but me, and perhaps the grandparents, to care much about these little snippets.  It's mostly for me to remember Lucy's sweet voice and diction at this age.  She has already changed the way she said so many things, I wanted to preserve a few of them.

I had to capture a few of my favorite Lucy pronunciations before they change.  She's growing so quickly and her speech is maturing and changing almost daily.

And since I'm not sure you can hear her saying volleyball (bobby ball) at the start of this video, hopefully this one comes through somewhat clearly, despite the distractions and background noise.

And if you're still watching, one more video showing one of the many (random) things daddy has taught her.  And, let me be honest: I ask her to say "hiccups" or "lips" just about every day because her lisp just melts my heart!
