Malcolm weighs (about) 12 pounds, and is starting to smile. He loves to sleep on his tummy, and is proving a much better and easier sleeper than big sister. He wakes every 3 hours at night to eat, and sleeps sporadically throughout the day. He willingly takes a bottle, and is an excellent nurser. It still hurts a bit, but it's getting better each day.
Malcolm is a strong little guy and rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time at 8 days old! The doctor said that is a four month milestone! Way to go, buddy! He did it in front of daddy, and has rolled for daddy several times. I finally got to see it myself a few days ago. :) He can hold his head up already, and switch from facing one side to another while on his tummy; when he's up on my shoulder he looks around and bobs his head.
This guy likes his paci to sleep, but his love affair with it isn't equal to sister's was at this age. He reminds me a lot of Noah, and his uncle Seth. I see Isaac in his curly eye lashes, and myself in his dimple. Otherwise, he's favoring the more extended family so far!
Smiles are getting more frequent!
Sibling photo-bomb!
And a few shots from the past month:
Meeting Uncle Luke
Hanging out in his swing
Sister loves her "broyer"
Forced sibling time: what are parents for?
Malcolm taking his first bottle. He's been so hungry mama can't quite keep up yet, so we supplement him with a bottle before bed each night.
"Hold broyer like dada?"
Early smiles!
Clearly round two of the sibling photo shoot went SO much better...
